Chordata Capital supports investors in moving money off of Wall Street into community investments that center racial and economic justice.
We are an anticapitalist wealth management firm with a commitment to support clients in redistributing rather than continuing to accumulate wealth. We also believe that investing in racial justice requires taking deep shared risks and are excited to support folks in investing in community-controlled loan funds and emergent solidarity economy investments that are higher risk and require a longer term investment.
Chordata Capital was founded by Tiffany Brown and Kate Poole in 2018. Tiffany and Kate first met in 2013 through Resource Generation, and reconnected in 2017 as fellows in the inaugural year of RSF Social Finance’s Integrated Capital Fellowship. They joyfully discovered the power of their partnership and their aligned vision for wealth redistribution and reparations. The founding of Chordata Capital is rooted in a commitment to their cross-class, multiracial partnership.
OUR VISION
We envision a world where we repair our connection to one another. We embody compassion, knowing our economic system isn’t working for anyone’s well-being. Through personal development and powerful relationships across difference, we understand how much we need each other.
We acknowledge the harm that wealth accumulation has done to individuals and communities. Bringing our financial and non-financial resources to the table, Chordata offers clients the opportunity to nurture an economy that works for everyone.
